Deer Island and Sewage: Examining Waste Treatment.
This paper shall describe the treatment of sewage, especially non- chemical methods of sewage rendering. Liquid waste treatment plants - often referred to as wastewater management plants - are of particular interest. A functioning wastewater treatment plant can render the contents of sewage so they are useable in other forms, and then return the contents into the environment usually in the form of fertilizers and water. The Deer Island Treatment Plant off the shore of Boston shall be used as an example in this paper. 5 pgs. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
