Statistical Relationships Between Smoking and Drinking
This paper shall discuss the complex relationship between drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes. Using documented statistical evidence, this paper will forward the hypothesis (to be evaluated by the evidence) that smoking and drinking remain positively correlated in the months following treatment for alcoholism; in addition the evidence will be utilized to test the hypothesis that heavier smokers will be heavier drinkers. Statistical evidence will be used to confirm or deny these hypotheses.
