The paper discusses the minimum wage legislation and sheds light on arguments against and in favor of this important law. We need to understand that minimum wage law is not supported by all sections of the society, there are certain quarters, which oppose it staunchly believing that it leads to unemployment and inflation. But the proponents of the legislation fell that it must never be repealed because of it increases productivity and consumer spending which are essential for positive growth of the economy. 3 pgs, bibliography lists 1 source.
