In this paper we will discuss population and development in China. Modern China is going through great changes in its economy and trade, and this has lead to a change in the way China views its population problem. We will exam Chinas recent economic and cultural changes and how these have affected its view on population control. We will also closely examine the pros and cons of the one child policy.
