This paper discusses the potential biases in scientific literature due to cultural biases and sexist stereotyping. As an example, in reproductive studies, the majority of importance was placed on the male for assuring the viability of an offspring, when in reality, the responsibility is equal between both parents. The female was generally 'blamed' for creating a female, and therefore less desired, child, when it was later found to be the male who determines sex.
