This paper discusses global forest management issues and the problems with forest certification evaluation models. All forestry NGO's adopt various certification evaluation models (i.e. hybrid performance and performance-based monitoring).
The paper also discusses the need for a standardized evaluation model that all forestry NGO's must use. Standardizing these processes will increase certification efficiencies and improve the evaluation process through mandating a linear approach.
