This paper is a discussion of uses of calculus. More specifically the discussion encompasses how calculus is used in building suspension bridges. Practical uses for calculus are presented in the discussion along with other uses in building and construction. Formulas used for suspension bridges are also examined in this paper. In addition, physical aspects that are important in bridge construction are presented.
