Imagine picking up a newspaper and know that even though you hold it in your hands you can not read a single line. Imagine going to a grocery store and not be able to read the prices on different products. Imagine going to school and watching your classmates read, but you cannot read a single line. Although our world is going through the process of globalization, there are still people in America who cannot read. Many of us never stop to consider what reading means; however, for those who are illiterate, reading is something they have not quite grasped.
