This paper encompasses a discussion about fish ladders in the Connecticut River. An investigation of the environmental issues of the fish ladders is examined along with the political economy of the environment in the context of the ladders. Interviews have been conducted with local authorities and residents and their perspectives and opinions are included in the paper. The fish ladders and the circumstances surrounding them are discussed as well.
