In this paper, the Japanese are learning to manage their products in a macro-economic forum, which has been the reason for their success over the last 30 years in the car market. By applying less waste in production, a greater quality product, and learning to manage their workers in integrated systems management, they have been far more aggressive in achieving quality and low costs in manufacturing. America must learn from these productive management techniques if they are to rise above the competition.
