This paper is a discussion of ecosystem based management marine systems. Ecosystem based management is discussed and the benefits of such a program are examined in this paper. In addition the current structure of governance regarding these ecosystem based management of marine systems is examined and the advantages and disadvantages of these ecosystems is discussed in the paper.
