This paper will discuss the architectural designs and styles of Georgian architecture in between the years 1700-1900. The study will focus on such buildings as houses, churches and government buildings. The architect, name of building, location will also be mentioned with architectural descriptions of the design such as the facade, pediments, columns, windows, porch, bell tower, floor plans, layout, materials and structure will also be covered within this analysis. By understanding the many principles of this style of architecture, we can see how they were built, and why they have left a lasting impression in the minds of American architecture. 6 pgs.
