This paper analyses the language and culture of a group of aboriginal people living in the interior of British Columbia - the Thompson people. Their language is a part of the Salishan family of languages that extends over a larger area. These people have been living in this area for at least seven thousand years, maybe more. Their customs, language, culture and geography are discussed.
